The Circus of Illustration are looking for artists and illustrators to be part of an exciting new exhibition at the Foyer Gallery at Bedford School in January 2026. Creators are invited to submit one new piece of work especially for this exhibition along with up to three existing artworks on the theme of art and illustrations being ‘Made By Humans’. The interpretation is up to you!
The show is open to professionals, students and hobbyists, over 18 years old, living in Bedfordshire. Good luck! We are looking forward to hearing from you.

HOW TO SUBMIT
If you’d like your work to be considered, please email us at [email protected] by midnight on 9th November 2025 with:
- Your name and contact details including your social media and/or website details.
- A short artist statement describing your practice (250 words max)
- A brief description of your artworks (include size and medium) and an explanation as to what ‘made by humans’ means to you (250 words max)
- Clear, high quality photos of your work you wish to show.
- Note: A.I. generated artwork, reproductions of existing artwork and work that we believe are in breach of copyright laws will not be considered.
- You will be notified if you are successful on 25 November 2025 by email.
BEDFORD SCHOOLThe exhibition opens on 9 January 2026. Successful applicants will be invited to a private view and celebration of the show.
The exhibition space is in The Foyer Gallery at Bedford School. SALESBedford School and The Circus of Illustration will not take any commission if your work is sold. Sales must be handled by the individual artist via contact details on the labels of your artwork.

ADMIN FEE
If you are successful in your application to exhibit with us, an admin fee of £5 must be paid to The Circus of Illustration.

The works for exhibition will be selected by the committee members of The Circus of Illustration. The decision of the committee is final and we are unable to offer feedback.

Bedford School and The Circus of Illustration will hold personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), but the school may provide third parties with an artist's contact details regarding sales or other enquiries about their work and practice.
The Circus of Illustration has the right to reproduce works in connection with this exhibition for publicity.
