The Lost Portfolio 

Do you have a favourite piece of art that you’ve never exhibited before? Something you made that you absolutely love but has never seen the light of day? 

The Circus of Illustration is looking for illustrators to be part of an exciting new exhibition at Bedford College.

The show is open to professional artists and hobbyists, over 18 years old, who live in Bedfordshire. Good luck! We are looking forward to hearing from you.

HOW TO SUBMIT
If  you’d like your work to be considered, please email us at [email protected] by 13th March 2025 with:
  • Your name and contact details.
  • If applicable, what year you graduated from Bedford college.
  • A short artist statement describing your practice.
  • A clear photo of your work in JPEG or PNG form.
  • A description of your artwork including size and medium.
  • Note: A.I. generated artwork will not be considered.

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF ARTWORK

Please drop off your artwork during Drink and Draw at:

The Park Pub
98 Kimbolton Rd,
Bedford MK40 2PF

You must be able to drop off your artwork to our Drink & Draw at the Park Pub  MK40 2PF on 25th March 2025 between 19:30-21:00 and pick up on 29 April, also from Drink & Draw at the Park Pub between 19:30-21:00.

If you have an exceptional circumstance and are unable to drop off and/or pick up your work from this location at these times, you must contact The Circus of Illustration.

BEDFORD COLLEGE

The exhibition opens on 28 March 2025. Successful applicants will be invited to a private view and celebration of the show.  
The exhibition space is in South Bank Arts Centre at Bedford College.

SALES

The college and The Circus of Illustration will not take any commission if your work is sold. Sales must be handled by the individual artist via contact details on the labels of your artwork.

SELECTION
The works for exhibition will be selected by the committee members of The Circus of Illustration. The decision of the committee is final and we are unable to offer feedback.

PERSONAL DATA
Bedford College and The Circus of Illustration will hold personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), but the college may provide third parties with an artist's contact details regarding sales or other enquiries about their work and practice.
The Circus of Illustration has the right to reproduce works in connection with this exhibition for publicity.
Copyright remains with the artist.

LIABILITY
Bedford College and The Circus of Illustration are not responsible for any loss or damage to artwork entrusted to them. Goods are at the artist's own risk. Bedford College is used for various purposes by many people so artists are advised to insure their artwork. We recommend A-N The Artists Information Company for insurance.
